Just get a quote for your item online, bring it back to us and you’ll get an IKEA Refund card to refresh your home.
Buy-back process
The process involves two simple steps:
First, customers submit their application via the app.
They open the IKEA app or mini-program, navigate to the buyback service section, select the product for buyback, and upload photos as required. The system assesses the condition and automatically generates a preliminary quote, with results communicated via SMS and app notification. Upon accepting the quote, customers receive a buyback appointment number.
Second, they complete the transaction in-store.
Within 14 days of receiving the appointment number, customers bring the fully assembled furniture to the IKEA store that provided the preliminary quote, present their appointment number at the Returns & Exchanges counter, where co-workers verify the furniture on-site and confirm the final price. If they agree to the final quote, customers receive their IKEA buyback store credit immediately; if not, they take the furniture home themselves.

Conditions for Eligible Buyback Products
We aim to help your used IKEA products find new homes. We want to ensure that the buyback products purchased by other customers are fully usable.
Your used IKEA furniture must meet all the following requirements to be eligible for the Buyback Service:
- It must be an IKEA product and a product eligible for buyback with real-time verification via the APP as the final reference.
- It must be in good resalable condition: intact, structurally safe, fully functional, clean and tidy, and properly fully assembled.
- It must be consistent with our product descriptions: without altering its original state (e.g., no modifications or repainting).
- You must be the legal owner of the furniture, with no defects in title such as hidden debts or security interests.
- It must comply with the commitments we have made or recommend making regarding the product’s performance, condition and quality.
Conditions for Eligible Buyback Products
The specific products that are eligible for the buy back scheme are listed here but will include the following:
- Coffee tables and side tables
- Storage furniture such as bookshelves, shelving units, and display cabinets
- Office desks, office chairs, drawer cabinets, office storage furniture
- Dining tables, dining chairs, and stools
- Bedside tables and chests of drawers
- Kitchen trolleys and kitchen islands
- Bathroom trolleys and shelving units
The specific eligible products are subject to the latest display in the APP system. For product-related inquiries, please contact Yixiaojia Customer Service or staff at the nearest IKEA store.
Non-eligible Products
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to accept items from the categories listed below. However, we are always looking for new opportunities to improve our services so do check back in the future.

- Products that primarily carry body weight：
- Appliances and other electronic items: Lighting, Appliances, Speaker …

- Products used outside including outdoor furniture…
- Children’s and baby products: ALL without exemption
